Powerful used Viking banishes single-shaft shredder
RSA AG Recycling- und Sortieranlagen in Switzerland is part of the Risch Group. In Buchs, RSA AG operates a sorting plant for the recovery of recyclable materials. Whether from industry, commerce or private households, waste and recyclable materials are in the right place here. These are sorted, processed and forwarded to the appropriate recycling or waste incineration plant.
In order to optimise waste shredding, the single-shaft shredder previously used by a competitor was to be replaced. Steffen Heymann, our sales representative for Switzerland, defined the requirements for an optimal waste shredder together with Martin Risch.
The shredding results of the HAAS TYRON were impressive!
So that RSA AG could convince themselves of our performance promises in practice, we provided a mobile TYRON as a demo machine. The decision to buy was subsequently made by the heart of the TYRON – the intelligent 2-shaft system with independently driven shredding shafts. The asynchronously running shaft system offers crucial advantages over synchronously running shredding systems. Wrapping of wires and long-fibre materials is avoided! Shaft speed, direction of rotation and reversing times are individually adjusted depending on the feed material. The sensor-monitored shredding system initiates automatic reversing in the event of overload, thus protecting the tools.
Resource-saving used machine
At HAAS, as a manufacturer of recycling machines, we attach great importance to the long-term use of our machines. In this way, we not only contribute to lasting customer satisfaction, but also conserve valuable resources.
Our “Experienced Vikings”, which are HAAS used machines that have already proven themselves in operation, also conserve resources. The decisive advantages are the cost savings compared to a new machine and the generally short availability.
“Due to a replacement and machine upgrade of a long-time HAAS customer, I was able to offer RSA AG a pre-owned stationary TYRON 2500, manufactured 2013, with 7,250 operating hours. Completely refurbished and repainted, the TYRON was put into operation in Switzerland.
The separate drive unit (Power Pack) of the TYRON was installed in another part of the building on a separate platform. The location, clean and well ventilated, reduces cleaning and maintenance to a minimum. Large double doors provide ideal access for service and maintenance work. I wish RSA AG excellent shredding results and many years of trouble-free operation of the “experienced viking!”
