Shredding and conveying technology for the recycling industryMade in Germany since 1989
From mobile machines to stationary installations, we develop, manufacture and install the right recycling solution for you.
Quality throughout the HAAS range of products. E.g.:
TYRON: the robust double-shaft primary shredder impresses with its powerful performance! Two independently driven shredding shafts ensure maximum flexibility and operational reliability!
ARTHOS: the secondary shredder with ballistic chute, automatically separates out impurities in the input material.
HAAS plant construction can tailor a solution to your spesific operational needs, across a wide range of materials: bulky and commercial waste, waste wood, household waste, PVC, plastics, biomass, and mixed demolition waste.
HAAS screeners work reliably and guarantee outstanding screening performance!
We can offer consultation and solutions for new projects as well as for plant expansion. Which are your top priorities? Optimum process flow even in confined spaces? Minimisation of dust and noise? Take advantage of our 30 years experience in plant construction and let us convince you of our solutions.
HAAS stands for continuity – fixed contact persons are at your side from the planning phase to the commissioning. Just put us to the test!
Are you still uncertain? We will be happy to share our success stories with you. We have experience working with a varierty of operators, including; waste disposal companies, waste wood processors, sawmillers and processors for refuse derived fuels. Take a closer look at our machines during a live demonstration. We look forward to your enquiry!

A new waste wood processing plant was needed for an annual volume of 30,000 – 60,000 tonnes of waste wood of all grades A to C. „It was perfect timing from HAAS. We at CUP were just start-ing the project planning for the new waste wood recycling plant when HAAS introduced itself to us. In advance, we visited a couple of already installed HAAS systems and were able to personally convince ourselves of the performance of the systems. Already at that time, we have been impressed by the compact design and the construction of the conveyor belts and chain conveyors. The performance of the systems was outstanding. The overall package from HAAS convinced us! We feel very comfortable with HAAS and maintain a co-operative business relationship.” Michael Völker (Organisation WERNER Entsorgergemein-schaft) and Ralf Berninger (Technical Operations Manager at WERNER RC GmbH & Co. Recycling Centrum KG) Overview of the plant process: The TYRON 2000-E XL 2.0, equipped with fine tools 9/9-4, pre-shreds the waste wood. The following electric overband magnet separates the exposed coarse iron parts. A bi-directio-nal conveyor transports the pre- shredded waste wood (0 – 300 mm) either to the storage bay outside the building or to the ARTHOS 1600-E hammermill for secondary shredding. The ARTHOS shreds up to 40 tonnes of pre-shredded waste wood per hour to a size < 100 mm. The ballistic chute guarantees trouble- free operation and therefore protects the hammermill, downtimes are minimised! A heavy chain conveyor equipped with an automatic chain tensio-ning and chain lubrication system transports the material to the non-ferrous separator. The reversible screw conveyor underneath the non-ferrous separator enables a special fraction to be discharged directly into processing building or, alternatively, the end product to be transported onwards to the fully automatic storage bay filling. Finally the end product is transported with a movable conveyor belt to the se-lected storage bay (in total 5 bays). The entire plant is equipped with a dust suppression system. State-of-the-art misting technology binds the existing dust. “The system was designed by HAAS in a way that we can process pre-shredded material separately. Which means that the remaining part of the plant (almost 70 %) is not in operation during this time. This guarantees a minimisation of costs in terms of wear, maintenance and energy consumption!” Ralf Berninger, Technical Operations Manager at WERNER RC GmbH /CUP Recycling GmbH
Powerful used VikingPowerful used Viking banishes single-shaft shredder RSA AG Recycling- und Sortieranlagen in Switzerland is part of the Risch Group. In Buchs, RSA AG operates a sorting plant for the recovery of recyclable materials. Whether from industry, commerce or private households, waste and recyclable materials are in the right place here. These are sorted, processed and forwarded to the appropriate recycling or waste incineration plant. In order to optimise waste shredding, the single-shaft shredder previously used by a competitor was to be replaced. Steffen Heymann, our sales representative for Switzerland, defined the requirements for an optimal waste shredder together with Martin Risch. The shredding results of the HAAS TYRON were impressive! So that RSA AG could convince themselves of our performance promises in practice, we provided a mobile TYRON as a demo machine. The decision to buy was subsequently made by the heart of the TYRON – the intelligent 2-shaft system with independently driven shredding shafts. The asynchronously running shaft system offers crucial advantages over synchronously running shredding systems. Wrapping of wires and long-fibre materials is avoided! Shaft speed, direction of rotation and reversing times are individually adjusted depending on the feed material. The sensor-monitored shredding system initiates automatic reversing in the event of overload, thus protecting the tools. Resource-saving used machine At HAAS, as a manufacturer of recycling machines, we attach great importance to the long-term use of our machines. In this way, we not only contribute to lasting customer satisfaction, but also conserve valuable resources. Our “Experienced Vikings”, which are HAAS used machines that have already proven themselves in operation, also conserve resources. The decisive advantages are the cost savings compared to a new machine and the generally short availability. “Due to a replacement and machine upgrade of a long-time HAAS customer, I was able to offer RSA AG a pre-owned stationary TYRON 2500, manufactured 2013, with 7,250 operating hours. Completely refurbished and repainted, the TYRON was put into operation in Switzerland. The separate drive unit (Power Pack) of the TYRON was installed in another part of the building on a separate platform. The location, clean and well ventilated, reduces cleaning and maintenance to a minimum. Large double doors provide ideal access for service and maintenance work. I wish RSA AG excellent shredding results and many years of trouble-free operation of the “experienced viking!” Steffen Heymann, HAAS Sales Representative
