Three excellent days are lying behind us – 30th company anniversary
From 12th to 14th September our company premises became the centre of attraction and the stage for numerous visitors from all over the world.
“The longest journeys have been from Guam, Thailand, Korea and Brazil, and ultimately we owe that to the good and close business connections.”
“I was overwhelmed that so many visitors celebrated these days with us and made it to a unique and unforgettable time. Today, we operate globally and are a major regional employer with over 80 employees. In 1989, we started small, in a double garage in Stockum.
During our business development we were able to experience a lot of beautiful things, so our wish was: to pass on a piece of the happiness that we often enjoyed to people who rarely encounter happiness. Instead of flowers and gifts in kind, people were therefore asked for donations for the Unnauer Patenschaft (children’s cancer aid). So far the donation amount is already 3500 €! We would like to thank you again for all your donations. Of course, you can also make a donation afterwards, you can get more information here”. Volker Haas
On Thursday we started the festivities with an informative dealer day. HAAS systems installed in Neuwied and Cologne demonstrated the expertise of the company live to the professional visitors.
The kick-off then was the evening event, with delicious food, cold drinks and the rock music duo “zwo ampère”, being celebrated into the night.
As a highlight and special surprise during the 30th anniversary of HAAS a TYRON as a CRJ special model was presented to our sales partner CRJ, the pleasure was huge.
On Friday we celebrated the official anniversary with a welcome of customers, representatives of politics and the Chamber of Crafts for plant demonstrations at our premises in Dreisbach. The slightly cloudy weather did not prevent the invited guests from coming in large numbers to watch the live demos or to learn more about one or another topic.
The Saturday as the final day was reserved for our employees, their families and the citizens of Dreisbach. The sunny autumn weather was used by countless visitors to take a look behind the scenes.
The shining eyes of the children were not only caused by the huge pirate bouncy castle but above all by our “lively” TYRON. The children (and adults as well) could have photos taken of the approx. 2 m big mascot as a souvenir or even cuddle it!
The musicians of the Westerwald band “Walk the Line” created a great atmosphere for the adults with their wide range of blues, country and soul music. Drinks, snacks, coffee and cake could satisfy thirst and appetite.
During the demonstrations of the mobile machines amazed faces could be seen. Carsten Schmidt, our workshop manager, guided the visitors around the large machines and shared facts and figures with the interested audience. The TYRON double-shaft pre-shredder processed gigantic roots and wood waste into small-sized shredded material in seconds and then handed it over to the 3-fraction screen of the Italian manufacturer ECOSTAR.
Another machine combination consisting of the TYRON pre-shredder and the hammermill ARTHOS first shredded wood waste and later PVC window extrusions. The mobile non-ferrous and ferrous separator GLADIATOR finally removed ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
“At the beginning of the new millennium, we began producing diesel-powered mobile equipment for recycling waste wood. What we produce here in this small Westerwald town is very popular on the global market. We act professionally and still with a family atmosphere, which makes us proud.” Sascha Kloft, second managing director since 2015
The last demonstration finished at 16.00 o’clock and since this weekend all the visitors understand why the Vikings ARTHOS and TYRON are known for strength and robustness!
Overview of News
From now on we are there for you again as usual and are looking forward to new, collaborative projects with you in 2020! Review of our annual celebration in December 2019. Volker Haas did not miss the opportunity to welcome the almost complete team, to review the past year with grateful words and to give a forecast for 2020. This year we have again many jubilees who were honored during the closing ceremony: Two colleagues with a proud 25 years of employment, two colleagues with 20 years of employment, two colleagues at the age of 15 and a colleague who looks back on 10 years at HAAS. We would like to thank our long-standing employees for their great cooperation and look forward to continuing on our path together with you. After a delicious dinner, Sascha Kloft reviewed the year 2019 with a photo/video presentation. The review of the year makes the diversity of the business year clear. Numerous projects with different dimensions (single machines and complete plants), new machines in the HAAS product range, successful visits to trade fairs and live machine demonstrations at interested parties and customers on site, not to forget the 30th anniversary of HAAS. Traditionally, the new colleagues provided for good entertainment and this year they brought the atmosphere with a self-made HAAS song. We celebrated, laughed and told many stories until late into the night. We would like to thank the team from “Gasthaus Christian” for the once again nice service. We would like to thank you, dear customers, for the trust you have placed in us in 2019. A big thanks also goes to our suppliers and the extremely good cooperation! The whole team of HAAS GmbH wishes you a successful year 2020
First aid in the companySo that in an emergency as little as possible happens when something happens Our numerous first aiders took part in the first aid course again last Tuesday and were able to refresh their knowledge in case of an emergency. Of course, we all wish every day that the emergency never occurs. But if it does, then we at HAAS would like to be able to help our colleagues as quickly and as well as possible. In most cases every minute counts and decides on the further well-being of an accident person. We regularly offer a first-aid course so that each of our first-aiders feels as prepared as possible for an emergency. The theory is followed by practice: In the first part of the course, the theoretical knowledge was refreshed, e.g how do I get an unconscious person into a stable lateral position? Later, each individual could try out different points again in the practical exercise and consolidate what they had learned. Despite the good training, we all hope that the emergency will not occur.
